As good as it gets @ Georges Bar & Grill - King Street Wharf
| Reservation Not Required | Good Wheelchair access | Great with kids |
Recently I was stranded in Sydney with my seven year old when my wife was delayed coming back from overseas. We ended up at Georges for dinner. A revelation and I'd rate it as one of my better experiences ever! No kidding. One of the best aspects was the great service - so hard to find anymore. Couldn't be faulted and makes a huge difference to the whole experience. It was a beautiful evening down on the water. Daniel was really looked after and treated like a grown up. His calamari and my bouillabiasse were perfect. The owner came for a chat which I think is always a nice touch. Will head there everytime in Sydney and recommend it.

| Bad for watching sport |
Great setting down on the water and with a table out the front overlooking the boardwalk, fantastic free entertainment from the passing parade, especially on a Saturday evening. Service great, and food can't be faulted. Excellent four cheese pizza (my favourite and very healthy!) and first class salads - very hard to get a really good salad it seems these days. My seafood platter was the best I've had. Would probably steer clear of the Italian wines - not enough grunt compared to ours. But the ice cold Peroni with the pizza was a great start. A regular spot for me on my visits to Sydney.
