Very Accomodating @ Commodore Hotel
| Bad Wheelchair access | Bad for a Romantic Evening | Good for after-work drinks |
| Good for Business Lunches | Great with a large group | Good place to meet people |
The Commodore Hotel is one of those old hotels, that has had its guts ripped out and refurbished and they've done a great job.
Big outdoor area, bar and owned by the same people who have the Bourbon Bar in Kings Cross.
Had the chicken burger, which definitely did the trick and even though we arrived early on Friday afternoon it was soon packed with the after work pretentious crowd.

Fused @ Fuse Bar - Entertainment Quarter
| Good Wheelchair access | Bad with babies | Bad with kids |

Had a birthday session here (pre-comedy store), and they managed to accomodate the 20 of us quite well. Food was slow coming out which was expected but they didn't really make much of an effort to speed things up when it became obvious we were going to be late.
Apart from that...the menu is split between asian dishes and aussie tukka which meant everyone was able to find a dish they liked.
Venue is big with a pool table and a good range of beers.
Did the job.

funny as @ Comedy Store Sydney
| Bad for after-work drinks | Bad for a romantic drink | Bad place to meet people |
Comedy should be in everyone's diet and the Comedy Store run a great setup for our large group.
We were lucky to see Gina Yashere who was a crack-up. Venue wise, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house, and organising a large group they made it really easy.
There is a bar inside for before and after drinks and they do have table service during the show.

Nice: Bar Service
So-So: Beers, Cocktails
Overall: Loved It!

potential and let down @ Blu Ginger
We went and had a midweek curry at Blu Ginger, and what turned out to be a nice meal turned into a farce.
The venue is presentable and we had a very friendly waiter, and as a curry lover there was a nice range of dishes to choose from. The Onion Bahji's for the entree were great, and the Naan was done to perfection. The dishes were full of flavour and exactly why I love curry.
What was surprising was that 3 dishes came out just for the two of us. We pointed out the error, and the waiter came back and said it was on the house. As the dishes were quite large in size we'd have never fitter 3 in anyway, but still we continued.
When the bill came the 'extra' dish we didn't order was on the bill. The waiter informing us that the manager wasn't there and he needed authorisation to remove it. He then explained that if we paid for it and gave our details he would get a credit for our next visit.
I am not sure of where this level of service fits in. Paying for something I don't order is not in my vocab, and I explained that this would not happen.
A shame to a nice night and good food.

The After Works @ Ryan's Bar
| Reservation Not Required | Bad Wheelchair access | Bad with babies |

| Bad for Breakfast | Good for Business Lunches | Bad for a romantic drink |
| Great with a large group | Good place to meet people | Good for watching sport |
Ryan's is the perfect bar for after-work drinks no matter what day of the week. Taking up the whole of Australia Square, big screens - service is slow due to the number of people i.e. in that gallery! But what can you expect.
Even got Asahi and Bier Blonde on tap...great work.
Pizzas are good too!

Nice: Cocktails, Music, Wine List

Top of the pubs @ P.J.O'Brien's Irish Pub
| Bad for a Romantic Evening | Great with a large group | Good place to meet people |
| Good for watching sport |
PJ's is another great pub like the 3 monkey's. Situated on the corner of King and Grey (I think!), it's got a real drinking crowd and of course the Irish friendly feel. We watched Australia qualify for the World Cup here and was great on big screens and good priced beer too.

zeta bar review @ Zeta bar
| Good Wheelchair access | Good for after-work drinks | Good for a romantic drink |
| Bad place to meet people | Bad for watching sport |
The zeta bar on the 3rd level of the Hilton is just what you should expect. True class and the highest service.
The view overlooking the QVB building is special, especially just as the sun goes down.
A great selection of cocktails, beers on tap and wine-list makes Zeta a must do.
Crowd mostly business people, a few money-grabbing girls, but mostly all class.
A touch on the exy side - but what would you expect.

classic pub @ 3 Wise Monkeys Pub
| Bad for a Romantic Evening | Good for after-work drinks | Good for Business Lunches |
| Bad for a romantic drink | Great with a large group | Good place to meet people |

The 3 Monkey's is an institution located in the heart of the city. With a rich heritage it has come up quite nicely, great selection of beers - and crowd more like backpackers on an 'expensive' night out, bands and other good entertainment are also featured. Screens for sport too.

Nice: Atmosphere, Bar Service, Beers, Door Staff, Music

perfect circle @ 360 Bar And Dining
| Reservation Required | Good Wheelchair access | Bad with babies |
| Bad with kids | Bad with a large group |
360 is exactly that. The restaurant at the top of Sydney Tower, which revolves whilst you dine. The rotation takes about 1hr and a half, which is enough time to get through a main and dessert with a couple of drinks for good measure.
We had a really nice dinner, one would hope so too. Mains are around $50 each, and the food was spot on. So romantic evening worked a treat.
One thing I didn't know is that you can go up and actually just have a drink at the bar. So if you don't want to pay to go up the tower you can get a drink instead ... :P
The whole setup was true class and definitely perfect to impress your partner, mum or whoever you choose.

a must see @ Sydney Aquarium
| Good Wheelchair access |
Like many locals, I had always thought to leave the Aquarium for the tourists. What a silly mistake.
Ended up going, and I had no idea how big the Aquarium is. With an amazing shark range, underwater tube that you can walk through plus the amazing selection of other fish, crocs and coral.
The Aquarium is open til really late, and we probably spent about an 1hr and a half in there, and it was just something different to do.
So definitely worth a try!
Overall: Loved It!
